This morning, I woke up, had breakfast and visited the grave of my grandfather and my Aunt’s partner:
Belgium has a strange system for graveyards – they dig up coffins after a few years to make room for new ones, which I find interesting.
After a delicious lunch, we said goodbye to Aunt Myriam and Oma and boarded a train to Antwerp:
It was a very nice train – extremely smooth.
The Antwerp train station was absolutely gorgeous:
We then boarded a TGV to Paris’ Gare du Nord:

We took a taxi to our hotel, which was right next to the Gare du Lyon:
Here is the view from our hotel.
We then took the metro to Chatalet and walked to the central island of Paris (known as la cite). There we visited Notre Dame (unfortunately we couldn’t go inside because it closed when we got there)

We then sat down at a small restaurant, where I tried out my French. I ordered an Andouillette, which is a sausage made out of intestines. I also had some delicious mashed potatoes.
My Dad just had a simple sandwich. We returned to our Hotel. However, on the way, we got very lost (because I was in a hurry and took the wrong exit out of the metro), but we eventually got back, ready to rest up and prepare for another exciting day.
