After lunch, we went on a boat tour of the Gent river. My dad took some pictures:

After the boat tour, I had a waffle, which was delicious:
Then we visited the Gent belfry and took some pictures of the bell and of Gent:
Next we went to Saint Bavo's Cathedral, where we weren't allowed to take pictures. Here are some of the pictures we took:
Next we visited the Gent music academy. It was in a nice building and people were playing very nice music.
Before we left (our parking pass had expired) we took a few more pictures around Gent:
After we finished in Gent, we drove home (despite massive traffic) and made it back in time for dinner.

Hi..nice pics..have sent yr blog to my Russian friend Elena Parkomenko so she can folow up yr trip in Belgium. When y'r back from Karin'place and there's still some time left you shld both go see the St Andries Quarter in Antwerp ( I used to live there (in a "kot") for 2 years when I was a student) This is the real Antwerp of the shippers. You both wld enjoy this. Tipical Atweeereps !Tell yr dad..I might forget.
ReplyDeleteGhent looks like Antwerp from the pictures but probably Ghentians and Antwerpians would not like to say their cities look similar. Glad you are having such a good time. Have you considered becoming a tour guide as a career move??
